Named Authors
Every article on this site carries a named byline. We don't publish anonymous content. The three editors who produce our content are the same people who work client cases.
- Brendan Franks, Editor-in-Chief. Covers Arizona crash data, public safety records, and community accountability investigations.
- Brandon Millam, J.D., Legal Editor. Reviews every legal guide for accuracy against current Arizona statutes and case law.
- Stephanie Ramirez, Senior Editor. Writes step-by-step client guides for people going through the claims process.
Sources and Citations
Every data claim on this site cites its source. We use government data (.gov, ADOT, DHS, CMS), court records, and verified news reporting as primary sources. Each article lists its references at the bottom of the page.
We don't cite secondary sources when a primary is available. If a statistic can't be traced to an original government report, peer-reviewed study, or court filing, we don't publish it.
Legal Review
Brandon Millam, J.D. reviews every legal guide before publication. Legal content references specific Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) sections by number. When case law is relevant, we cite the case name and jurisdiction. Legal guides are updated when statutes change or significant case law develops.
Data Investigations
Our investigations section publishes original data analysis. Brendan Franks pulls crash data from ADOT, facility inspection data from Arizona DHS, and staffing data from CMS. Raw data sources, methodology notes, and public records request details are available on request at contact.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction. Corrections are marked with an updated date in the article frontmatter and, for material changes, a note at the top of the article explaining what changed and why.
To report an error, email our contact page with the article URL and the specific claim you believe is inaccurate. We review every submission.
