Mandatory Reporter

What it means

A person required by law to report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children or vulnerable adults. Includes teachers, healthcare workers, social workers, and clergy.

Arizona context

Arizona’s mandatory reporting laws are in ARS 13-3620 (children) and ARS 46-454 (vulnerable adults). Failure to report is a class 1 misdemeanor and can rise to a class 6 felony.
