Dram Shop Liability

What it means

Legal responsibility of bars, restaurants, and other alcohol vendors for injuries caused by patrons they served while obviously intoxicated.

Arizona context

Arizona’s dram shop statute is ARS 4-311. A licensee can be liable if they served alcohol to an obviously intoxicated person or a person under 21, and the consumption was a proximate cause of the injury.
