Minority Tolling

What it means

A rule that pauses (‘tolls’) the statute of limitations for minors. The clock doesn’t start running until the minor turns 18.

Arizona context

Under ARS 12-502, if a person entitled to sue is under 18 when the cause of action accrues, the statute of limitations doesn’t run during the disability. Children injured at age 8 typically have until age 20 to file.
